Are You Ready to Inspire the Next Generation of Founders?
About the Podcast
Little Pursuits is launching a new podcast set to film this spring/summer and release in the fall. The podcast will feature conversations with founders, their journey in building something from the ground up, how this impacted who they are and how building a new company has helped them to grow, and we are also looking to highlight tools and resources that has helped founders to grow at various stages of building their companies - this can be books, podcasts, mentors, coaches, therapy, community, routines and more. We want the audience to walk away feeling like they gained some new perspectives, learned about tools and resources that can help them to take their next steps, and generally feel inspired to take that small next step forward to building their own project/company.
As a guest on Little Pursuits, you'll have the chance to share your story with a dedicated audience of aspiring entrepreneurs and founders. You'll also connect with other inspiring individuals and get your story out to hundreds/thousands across multiple platforms. Not only will you share your insights and journey with our listeners, but you'll also receive promotion across our social media channels, podcast platforms, and newsletter!
Pre-Interview Process
If we have not met before the scheduled podcast filming, Dar will meet with you on Zoom for a brief 20-25 minute call to introduce herself, walk you through the interview structure and we will send the questions that will be asked (also listed below for reference). However, we want this to be dialogue and a conversation, so some questions might come up as we have this conversation and some might not.
Time Commitment
We ask guests to block 2 hours on their calendar to allow for a smooth recording process, including any re-takes if necessary. We are estimating recording time of 1.5 hours, but adding a little cushion in case we need additional time.
Interview Questions
Below is a list of potential questions that we may ask during the interview:
Before starting your company, what was your background experience?
What led you to start your business? Or what events led to starting your company?
Why was it important for you to start your company?
What were some of the biggest challenges you faced when launching your company?
Can you share a pivotal moment that changed the course of your business?
What have been some your biggest successes with your company?
What strategies have been most effective in growing your business?
How do you approach leadership and team-building in your company?
What’s one piece of advice you wish you had received earlier in your journey?
Who do you look up to as a role model or for inspiration?
How do you define success in your entrepreneurial journey?
What are some misconceptions about being a entrepreneur?
What advice would you give to founders who are just starting out?
What routines help you to be an effective founder?
What are the resources that supported your entrepreneurial journey? E.g. mentors, coaches, advisors, or communities.
What are some key takeaways from working with these different resources? What stood out to you the most or you found beneficial?
What excites you most about the future of entrepreneurship?
Where can people connect with you and learn more about your business?
Note: We believe in creating an organic, conversational interview that helps our guests open up about their entrepreneurial journey. Don’t worry about being scripted—just be yourself and share your story!
Technical & Recording Guidelines
Since the interview will be recorded via Zoom, please ensure the following for the best video and audio quality:
✅ Sit in a well-lit area (a ring light is recommended for extra light exposure).
✅ Avoid loud or crowded environments.
✅ Test your audio beforehand to ensure it’s clear and free of glitches. If possible, use a quality microphone.
✅ Keep your background distraction-free to maintain a professional and clean look.
✅ Wear solid colors if possible, as busy patterns can be distracting on camera.
✅ Have a stable internet connection to prevent video lag or disruptions.
Episodes will be available on YouTube, Spotify, and Substack to start with and in the future we will expand to other platforms!
